As featured on the Rhizome Farms facebook page, these mini New England pie pumpkins are so great. They aren't like typical pumpkins, because they are practically solid with only a small pocket for seeds in the middle, making them ideal for pie-making, broiling in the oven, or for soup. They only grow to about 4-5 pounds each, which means they are easier to grow, harvest and store. They were also perfect to sell at Brock Farmers Market for students who wanted to decorate their small dorm rooms in the fall. I will definitely grow these again next year!
